Five Kone ARMG cranes

In October 2013, BigLift Shipping’s Happy Dynamic completed the first shipment of five Automated Rail Mounted Gantry Cranes (ARMGs) for Konecranes from Gdynia, Poland, to Global Terminal in New Jersey, USA. The second shipment is on its way. In total 20 ASC’s will be shipped to Global Terminal in four voyages.  All 20 ASC’s are identical; they weigh 190 mt and measure 32 x 17 x 26 m.

 

In close cooperation with Konecranes, BigLift developed a method that sets a new standard in the transportation of ARMGs around the world. The combination of deck space and crane capacities make BigLift’s Happy D-class vessels ideally suited for these shipments.

 

The last five ASCs are expected to be delivered at their final destination in the first quarter of 2014.
